I have often thought of Kafenes in how he was doing with his health, so coming across this news just now is very sad to read. He will leave behind amongst many great contributions to many topics here on the CF, his own tread, "GAME!" ( cyprus16949.html ) which must hold the world's record on number of pages. I must confess, I had not once added anything to that thread, but was always glad others did, because it kept Kafenes amongst us long after he had stopped posting here on the CF. He will be missed.

We are all so sorry we cannot be there. The whole family warmed to you so much dear K. and I'll never forget how you mocked me for the neglected state of the "garden" or how charmingly you praised my lemon cake. You are heaven-made and a sad reminder of how only the good die young.
