I fully agree with you Gulli. Embarqoes should have been placed on Turkey when it invaded Cyprus in 1974.

The problem remains though... what will you do when Turkey won't be able to play bully to save your sorry arse? :wink:

So when you said you 'don't give a shit about recognition' what you actually meant to say was 'of course we want it'? :roll:

So now that we've established that you really want recognition, then tell us how you propose to go about getting it.

Bearing in mind that gaining membership of the UN is the test of statehood under international law and that this requires both a recommendation from the Security Council and the support of the General Assembly...

Had the AP was agreed on in 2004, then sure, Turkey would have had the whole island, but now, all she is doing is occupying part of an EU territory and has ZERO chance keeping any part of it. :roll:
