Amazon testing drones for deliveries

Looks pretty cool to me

Though security might be an issue. Mist netting for consumer electronics instead of black caps maybe ? :)

There are many issues with this… if you fly too low you’ll end up in power lines and if you fly over a certain height (commercially) I believe you need special aviation licensing.

On top of that what happens when another company follows suit? How will they avoid collisions and what happens when one lands on a pedestrian’s head?

Yeah, and what about Saint Nicholas delivering his Christmas pressies, they could collide and injure or even kill his reindeer. :(

Bearing in mind St Nicholas's supposed origins have I inadvertantly planted the seeds for another CF fisticuffs! Ho, ho, ho

A cheap PR stunt if ever there was one. Just in time for Xmas too.

And no-one is talking about their dodgy employment practices or tax avoidance schemes.

Now excuse me while I order my Xmas presents - from Amazon of course!

There will be driverless cars in your neighborhood In a few years. Why not pilotless drones delivering a widget to your doorstep.?
