Why would the police stop a Cypriot to ask for papers? That doesn't make any sense if they are looking for illegals.

Of course it is on the basis of the colour of their skin.

He didn't try to run away.. The cop walked up to him and broke his leg.. You can hear the crack on the video

They didn't set out to break his leg - the policeman looked as surprised as could be that this accident happened. Who knew this man resisting questioning would have such low bone density? Perhaps Cypriots have stronger bones (or at least, reply in a civilised manner when asked for their i.d. - as I have had asked once).

That is not what the video shows,

The police officer did not walk up to him and break his leg.

That's what I saw. The man is standing by a car, a Cypriot lady is heard saying something about a car and then hear a loud crack and the black man falling.. What did you hear and see that's different?

This reminds me of something that happened a couple of years ago in Minsk.

My self and my other third were staying at the Crowne Plaza, went out for a meal and returned, having consumed a couple or more bottles of wine., late at night past midnight.

We made our way to the hotels lift when a gorilla blocked our way asking for our IDs. Encouraged by my ...wine consumption I told him sternly that we are staying at the hotel and he has no right to demand impolitely our IDs.

On doing so I felt a severe kick on the back of my leg administered not by the gorilla but by my other third.

Give him your passport she screamed at me ferociously !!.

I shut up and did as I was told. End of the matter !!

I think the guy kicked the ladies car and that resulted in his broken leg.

isn't it funny though how a couple here would post similar things about the US and UK, and yet now they are scrambling because Cyprus is now being singled out for alleged racial profiling? :lol:
