You know what I see.....VP.......

I see a people being fed bullshit on both sides to keep them apart. I see old Cypriots here with stories of times they remember living together next door to each other.
A friend of mine was taken back to Famagusta by her husband in September. She's not been there since 1974. She took her husband back to the house she lived in and whilst she was pointing at the windows and reminiscing the stories of the children next door a Turkish gentleman came over from across the street. That gentleman hadn't seen her since 1974 when they used to play in my friends garden. He was her neighbour.
They embraced each other affectionately and shared their memories.

It may be a story of a past life, she hated the stupidity of the checkpoint to drive to her own town. She's seen what cannot be unseen and all she wants is peace like it was and how it should be.

There is no need for mother lands, no need for guarantor powers, greedy politicians that play with the lives of real people from their ivory towers built on the lands not belonging to them. It's the greed they hold, and they are too scared to share it.

Who doesnt want to share? Surely its not the TCs . The lady like many on both sides are frustrated at their lost but the difference is that this lady wants the past to come back which for us was not a good time when GCs were in power. Surely there is now a new state of play that needs not the past but more innovative ideas that would allow us to live in an administration of our choice.

If only the will of the people could overcome the politicians to break down the damn walls and fences.

Yes, lordo go ahead and mock my rose tinted glasses.
I've wondered, do you mock because you have never loved and lost? Are you sat pretty in somebody else's home? Or do you mock because you are scared you won't have the last laugh when you have to find another rock to throw insults from under?

no no no no no dear wingless horse. i have loved and had 4 children you could only dream of and still love to this day. I have loved since I was 7, if you need love lordo is your man.

I think I can get by without Lordo love Thankyou all the same!

Friendships are fine.....but if you want to make friends with people taking the piss and mocking constantly really isn't the best way to do it.

Innovation would allow many things. To be perfectly honest the political people at play for the moment are stuck like a broken record. I feel if you could skip a couple of generations and detach somehow from the endless same old same old governments, something fresh and new might grow.

Wishful thinking, maybe naieve. I'm no politician.

I agree to a certain extent but the GCs have more international clout than the TCs yet they do not use this to the full extent to put Turkey on the spot by winning over the TC population.

I can understand that the TCs are wary of putting their trust in the GC clout. It's like bringing a horse to water ;)

Are you saying if Pres A, or any one else could convince the TCs totally and absolute there may be a possibility of solution and one people, one island?

This GC leader shows no sign of being any different from the previous ones. When you consider the facts the GCs dont really need a solution as they have total control by stealing our recognition, all they really need to do is to be seen to want a solution to keep refugees at bay, why share?
