You what?

In case you haven’t noticed the so-called peace talks are about re-integrating TCs into the Republic. What do you think is going on?

There will not be ‘two-founding nations’ because there is only ONE recognised nation on the island.

There will not be ‘two-founding nations’ because there is only ONE recognised nation on the island. And it's not going anywhere.

dream on - the talks are about bbf. you run your side and we run ours. when you show respect and civilisation it will returned. when you show racism its time to split my demonuimmu. you are clueless to the cyprus problem. shadow a tc in the car to see what they see and hear and then we talk. otherwise you will be ass all your life.

Have you got any evidence or links to support this viewpoint?

Are you not paying attention, VP? The GCs are insisting on a joint commitment to a unified bizonal Cypriot state with a single sovereignty, single citizenship, in line with UN resolutions, high level agreements and the EU acquis.

The question you should be asking is why Eroglu and Turkey are now refusing to commit themselves in principle to a re-unified Cypriot state.

How do you expect anyone to comit to your demands without specific details in a situation where neither side trusts the other.

We're not talking about specific details. We're talking about committing to general parameters. Namely, a single sovereignty. There can be no trust without it.

Why is it necessary to place a straight jacket on the proceedings?

Not a straitjacket, VP. It's a set of basic principles to ensure we have a chance of success. There is no point in talks if Eroglu and Turkey are going to lead the talks to collapse by insisting on a confederal ‘solution’. That's a game the GC side is not willing to play.

Dont take this the wrong way but it is coming accross as its either the GC way or the highway, we dont find this sort of forced criteria very genuine or trustworthy.
