There is a connection, though. The Muratağa, Sandallar and Atlılar massacres were done by EOKA B as retaliation for the Turkish invasion (i.e. the second operation that turned the intervention into an invasion). Then in retaliation, the Turkish army started massacring their POWs.

I'm hoping for the day when people will realise that the Cyprus conflict was essentially Turkey killing Greek Cypriots, Greece killing Turkish Cypriots, and both killing the leftists.

you left a section out. innocent tcs were killed by roc police and inocent gcs were killed by some tmt members on an eye for an eye basis.

the sad fact is that roc to this point has not investigated or prosucted any gc murderers. while trnc can be excused as it is not a legal entity, the fact that legally rrecognised roc does it is beyond belief which makes peace impossible.

You need to get your history right. The Turkish terrorist TMT instigated the wave of communal clashes in Cyprus in 1958 when they planted a bomb outside the Turkish consulate in Nicosia. They subsequently blamed the Greeks and instigated riots, burning and attacking Greek Cypriot property in the surrounding areas.

It was confirmed by Rauf Denktash that the bomb was planted by Turks to foment clashes between Greek and Turkish Cypriots. A few days after the bomb was planted by Turkish terrorists, several Greek Cypriots were murdered outside a Turkish village.

in any case i was under the impression that we had left those days behind. so why was the two tcs killed by the gc police and militia which were armed in dec 1963. under which clause of the constitution were you able to arm the police and militia.
