The RoC dies not even get involved in this crooked transaction.
Tye refugee just assigns all his rights to the occupier.

I think you will find it is a bit more complicated than that. The Government can't (according to the constitution) prevent someone from selling their property. This used to require approval from the Council of Ministers if the buyer was not Cypriot, but I think this was changed some time ago.

That rule was abandoned for EU citizens. In any case, this is not a normal sale, but an extortion.

I have just read some if the noth Cyprus free press items....I feel tears coming on,.... Pass me an onion....

I have no problem with and indeed support the idea of action against illegal occupiers of property in the zone illegally occupied by the Turkish military, including the carpet b*ggers. Just a pity there are not a few more Orams type cases.

Personally I would look at checking the residential status of all heading across the line and any foreign squatters from the occupied zone should be given a tax form to fill in... And made to pay before they leave the Roc.

Unfortunately most of them are EU citizens, the last thing the ROC needs is these parasites complaining to the EU about being hassled by officials on the Green Line. They know this, one of them has acknowledged the fact on his crappy little "trnc" diary. Some sort of non violent direct action when they visit may be a way forward.

Yes... a year or two ago the Varoshiotes did close the Agios Dhometios crossing for a couple of hours in that kind of direct action.

The authorities of the Republic have every right to ask questions of those using its airports and crossing the barricades where they have suspicions that crimes are being committed and further and more importantly, the people of the Free Areas have every right to expect these authorities to do their duty.

... but and regrettably, very regrettably, the Republic chooses not to do so. ... not even an occasional sampling.

Pathetic and yammo dah jerata dous (as B25 would say)

Just do a few carpetbaggers at the border , no one at the EU will care but it might put the shits up the squatters .Let them fly in to "their" airport and stop them shopping here .If you want fucking Ikea and Mcdonalds don't buy stolen houses.

"I think you would benefit by moving to the North, as many items are now cheaper than the South.
Would you consider a village house in the Eco village of Baglikoy which is West of Kyrenia in the unspoilt and largely undiscovered area close to the foothills of the Trodos mountains.
I have a two bedroom village house (hanay) which has been sympathetically restored using traditional materials, there is no traffic and noise, the sea is just a short distance down the mountain and the beaches are usually just for you, with no one else swimming.
You could have a long lease and pay just £150 per month rent, that is about half of the cost in and around Kyrenia. If you need any more information, you can contact me on [email protected] or via mobile on +90 533 8630426
Photos available on request."

Just in case someone fancies moving there I thought I would provide an e-mail address. :D

I personally have no sympathy for any of them; most purchased in the north as it was the cheap option. Most of them know the situation with stolen GC land and now the biter has been bit. None in the video appear to be uneducated "Chavs" so it looks like they took a calculated risk and been been caught out by bigger crooks .

It is true. Pauline Reed is in the UK. She says temporarily because, woe upon woe, her partner (in crime?) needs medical attention which by implication the occupying state may not be able to provide, the paradise that it is,. She does however plan to come back....and rent.
