For these reasons we have to respect those who played a positive part in spreading goodness, and saint Andrew should be esteemed for his role. Moreover, the remains are a historical link that we should cherish.
You're are making the silly assumption that the adoption of Christianity is a prerequisite for the adoption of a strict moral code. So what about Hindus, Muslims, Budhists, Jews, Atheists and so on? Are they less moral than Christians?
Fair enough that significant figures such as Jesus deserve their place in history as significant humanitarians with significant teachings, but Greeks do have a far Greater Spiritual Inheritance going back some 3000 years and it is terrible that all that has been abandoned and disrespected by the current establishment who have absolutely no idea about Hellenism or Spirituality!
Furthermore, there are many 'Christian' countries that acknowledge Saint Andrew. But they have a clear separation between Religion and State. You will never have a situation where Christian Relics are transported by Military Aircraft like they would a Head of State. That's the issue here. We seem to have a lot in common now with countries such as Iran rather than EU, North America, Aus or NZ.
Many people can see this.
