Wouldn't security aka defense fall under the competency of the federal government and not that of the states?i think a unified cyprus should be a member of the euro/NATO security apparatus anyways So I think it's moot.

Thats just one example of how the system should not allow the decisions at federal level to effect one side more negatively than the other eg federal level votes 70 GC votes in favor and 30 TC votes against the symbolic army in the north state being removed, closed down. Imo to do this there has to be a minimum of say 15 TCs votes to pass the bill.

why would joining nato have a negative inpact on the tc community?and why would it need seperate majorities of both communities and not a simple majority.
