The problem is that we want to be considered as equals and not forced to live under a GC administration as we do not want to force you to live under a TC administration, we support freedom of movement and settlement under the admin of your choice, why do you not support the same and continue to force your dominating and dangerous demands upon us, all we want to do is share equally where as you want to take full control....do you not accept us as your equals?

you don't understand me and I do not understand you. You see, we are not the same people.

I see you as my equal on an individual basis but I do not see you being equal to myself, Kimon, B25, GR and Bill C put together for example ( in the name of political equality of the two peoples). You cannot make your say equal to the say of four or five of us by yourself and call this equality. You cannot expect to dilute the political will of four or five people so you can get your way or we all get nothing if we all disagree with you. Furthermore, If even one of us agrees with you the majority succumb to the minority. The system is rigged so that your community will win more often than not, or we all get nothing. This also resembles some form of inverse democracy. Its bonkers.

You cannot also demand (with guarantees from Turkey to collect?) from us that we share 30%, 50% or whatever of what we produce with you too.

This is not equality, this is retarded and extortion and some form of neo-ottoman apartheid. This way of thinking will eventually have us all plotting your demise and probably end with yourself being shot. Oh, I forgot, you expect us to demilitarize too. You think you Turks are so clever, right? Its all laced with malicious intent I tell you and I maintain that people like you should be deported.

So basically you do not accept us or our rights as a community as backed by international agreements that contain your signature, you cannot brush these to one side because it does not suit you. If you start from this point you may start to under stand that what we are fighting for is our rights as an equal community to yours, thats why a BBF with political equality is on the table not what you offer which means for us minority rights in a GC state in our own country, this as you know the majority of TCs will never accept and would rather stay as the TRNC which is a far better option than what you have in mind.
Now try to comprehend what I have said and develop solutions whereby we can unite under a BBF as supported by the UN.

Here VP, take a look at this and tell me what you think.

I got this definition from a security council report with reference (S/23780)

While political equality does not mean equal numerical participation in all federal government branches and administration, it should be reflected inter alia in various ways: in the requirement that the federal constitution of the state of Cyprus be approved or amended with the concurrence of both communities; in the effective participation of both communities in all organs and decisions of the federal government; in safeguards to ensure that the federal government will not be empowered to adopt any measures against the interests of one community; and in the equality and identical powers and functions of the two federated states.

Basically, how I understand this is that the two federated states will essentially be sovereign from a domestic perspective ( freedom of movement, freedom to live anywhere and being a fully functional member of the EU etc is a given). One cannot and will not impose its will on the other. laws will be slightly different in each federated state, so they can govern themselves just like the USA or Canada or Switzerland, for example.

At a federal level and so the TC's can get an effective say, each community is represented in a proportional fashion. So, if there are 800,000 GC’s, then they will elect 1 MP per 100,000 citizens for example. Same for the TC's. If there are 200,000 TC’s, they will elect 2 MP’s to sit in the federal government. So, that's 8 GC MP’s to sit in the federal government and 2 TC MP's. That makes 10 MP's in total, from both communities sitting in the federal government.

How is the above an effective say in any ones books 8 vs 2? and how does it bode with what you yourself have posted?

the effective participation of both communities in all organs and decisions of the federal government; in safeguards to ensure that the federal government will not be empowered to adopt any measures against the interests of one community; and in the equality and identical powers and functions of the two federated states.

what are you talking about?

According to that definition, political equality does not mean equal numerical participation at the federal government level. (for example, 5 vs 5 MP's)

So tell us all how you expect to achieve "the effective participation of both communities in all organs and decisions of the federal government; in safeguards to ensure that the federal government will not be empowered to adopt any measures against the interests of one community; and in the equality and identical powers and functions of the two federated states." when the balance is firmly in favor of the GCs? eg 8 vs 2.

Do you not understand English? do you not understand that political equality according to that definition does not mean equal numerical participation in the federal government?

gcs always get things arse backwards. you idea of political equality is one man one vote and reduce tcs to a minority. well it aint gona happen now or ever. each federal state to its own and the top level 50/50 or veto. the gurantee - each decide their own choice.

get that into your thick heads and soon otherwise we will end up as two countries if we are lucky or worst still we will end up as part of terkey.

but god help you when terkey enters the eu - you will be screwed every which way.

kabish.

You have no chance of that, so we have no need to be concerned. Your entry depends on us and solely on us. Keep on wet dreaming, making your pussy threats and whatever else. Until you guys come to your senses, it looks like we will stay as we are or until you really piss of the US big time, then it'll be your time. Kapish!
