Reported in lemoncy.eu that people passing themselves off as "police" of somewhere called "trnc" are effectively placing restrictions on the numbers who can cross to the Free Areas of the Republic at the Agios Dhometios crossing-point and thereby hampering free movement.

NICOSIA – The Turkish Cypriots, who, taking advantage of the eid al-adha holiday, wanted to cross to the southern part of the island from the Ayios Dometios crossing point, had to wait in kilometres-long queues for hours today.
According to the news report in Gazete360.com, quarrels broke out between the people and the police.
Turkish police recently changed the implementation in the northern side of the crossing point, reducing the number of lanes, where the cars can queue, to one. The new practice, which the police say is aimed at a more effective control, has slowed down the procedure necessary for the crossings.
The Turkish Cypriots, waiting in queue to cross to the southern part of the island, reacted to the police and demanded that procedures are accelerated and special measures are taken for holidays...."
