They were charging pretty standard prices. Air fares to Athens were under 200.
The problem was bad management, not fare prices. A state is not supposed to run businesses, like airlines, telecommunications, and power companies.
Yes the State can run an airline and many do.
The bad management is from the interference from the Government over the years and the many political appointees with meson. At one stage there were 2500 employees for 12 aircraft when there should only be 600 odd.
