The word "ercan" isn't banned in the Republic, it's more commonly referred to as Occupied Tymbou also known by some thieving buggers as "ercan".

More of a tragedy that these letters which appear in the Kurdish alphabet have been banned from use in Turkey and "trnc"

Still, your mate Erdogan, as part of the "reform package", is gonna allow their use.
