Has something fallen on Anastadiadis's head?

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

He says its time to end the outdated Cyprus Republic and form a new state modelled on a united federation system, is this what you are reading in the south?

I don't know what they're reading in the south but here in the Midlands this isn't what he said.

he means the govt machine...civil service needs to be reformed.

Well, lemony has this as part of the latest speech by Pres A...

"... Mr. Anastasiades specifically addressed the Turkish Cypriots saying that they should take for granted that

"we honestly desire and are determined to reach a solution",

but should also understand that the Greek Cypriot community will not be able to accept a solution that doesn't take their concerns into account, or a solution that will turn both "Greek Cypriots and Turkish Cypriots into second class citizens in the EU"

and added that the challenges that the Greek Cypriots are facing "are also threats that should concern Turkish Cypriots as well".

He also appealed to the Turkish government to give a positive reply to his proposals for meaningful confidence building measures.

Finally, he stressed that "Cyprus can in a very short time become a whole different country. A European, united, prosperous and safe country that can act as a catalyst for peace and stability in our region..."

Exactly this was translated into Turkish and in the newspapers this morning, the disappoint part of the speech to Tcs is the following

"Addressing the Turkish Cypriot community, Anastasiades said that while they should take his honest desire and determination to find a solution for granted, they should not expect that he would accept a solution that did not meet the expectations of Greek Cypriots or one that would turn Greek or Turkish Cypriots into second class EU citizens."

what about the TCs? this statement is very discriminating and clearly defines that he is not a Cypriot but a Greek Cypriot who only wants to meet the expectations of the GCs with concern for the expectations of the TCs.....very disappointing.

 what an embarrassment. Imagine that, the president of a nation under occupation not making the the traitors that keep the occupation army here feel warm and fuzzy.
