How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

The same reason why
1) the national anthem of the TRNC is the İstiklâl Marşı
2) the TRNC flies the Turkish flag
3) the Greek-patriot-run RoC flies the Greek flag
4) Turkish-speaking Cypriots think they are Turks and Greek-speaking Cypriots think they are Greeks

TodaysZaman confirms that the Andimiz will be gone in a week...

... " Meanwhile, Minister of Education Nabi Avcı announced on Thursday that the practice of reciting the pledge will be removed from schools in a week..."

Sorry, but my grammar Nazism is kicking in...

The official term for the oath is the "Öğrenci Andı", meaning "student's oath" and nationalists tend to refer to it as "Andımız", meaning "our oath". When you break it down into its parts, you have "ant" (oath), "ı" (of), "mız" (ours). So when you say "The Andımız", that translates to "the our oath", which sounds really awkward to me. You should be referring to it as "the oath", or if you prefer to use the Turkish, "the ant" (which sounds weird in English).

My rant is over... :|

Yes, but, no, but ... only repeating the word Andimiz cos that's what several turkish news sources call it.

What is well said about it?? You admit being Greek and not Cypriot. You accept not being independent and thank you for that.

Weren’t you aware that the majority of GC’s actually believe that they are Greeks?

...and two hundred years from now Greeks all over the world will be Greeks, those in Cyprus are no different, whatever its actual root we, as Greeks, are a diaspora. what is your point GR, are you "Greek", do you expect the world forever remaining a Hellenic enterprise, are you afraid of the world and unwilling to adapt to its changes? then, by population, in the future, here in Cyprus, do you believe somehow the proportions will remain the same?

i am Greek, but i am a Cypriot first. Lucky, perhaps that i was not raised a "Greek", and not unlike them, the "Turks" have nothing to be proud of because the accomplishments of their elite is no better, as corruption goes.

i propose that "Greekness" and "Turkishness" have their place within their own constituencies, their Liberty must be confined to the Freedom we define as Individuals, and not as Persons. wouldn't you agree GR that one Cyprus, a Cyprus, with its stunningly superb Heritance is worth our Love, and as Cypriots our sacrifice?

i ask, is Cyprus a Greek State, or is it a Cypriot State? and if it is a Cypriot State, and there must exist other Constituencies as equals (to each other), why not a Greek Constituency? why not a Republic as well? are they exclusively mutual?

I class my other half as Cypriot. Greek Cypriot. Not a British Cypriot, but a Greek Cypriot. He has two Cypriot parents and descends from Cyprus...not the UK.

His family name says he is descended from those who have been to the Holy Land on pilgrimage. Who that may have been, I have no idea.....it could be ***** a Turk! ***** I don't know how far his heritage can be traced....but I do know that not so long back one name came from Greece. Living around Morphou, he might be from Sparta!

He doesnt give a monkey's, he speaks Greek, wants to go home to where he belongs....as he's a CYPRIOT!
