It sounds like a carefully planned and executed sting operation by the Greek Authorities that had GD and its activities under heavy surveillance over a long period.
Once they had got all the evidence needed to put senior figures away for a long time, the Authorities Declared it a criminal organization and the Terrorist Police pounced.
A lot of faith is being restored here...
