Hi, My wife and I are considering a cycling holiday in Cyprus next year. We would love to spend 2-3 weeks cycling round the entire island. We've visited both North & South Cyprus many times and just fancy trying something different. So, before I start any detailed planning, I wondered if anyone could answer a few questions for me please?

1. Is it possible to cross from South - North and vice versa on a bicycle at all of the crossing points?
2. Can anyone recommend a good cycle hire company who would hire out bikes suitable for this journey?
3. What is the best and most up to date road map of North Cyprus to buy?

Any other advice would be greatly appreciated,

Hi I'm trying to organise the same ride for October 10th ish this year 2014.
Nothing set in stone yet but 2 of us.(at least)
Last year we cycled from Larnaka to Limasol slept there then cycled via troodos to the north to Girne.
It was a fantastic ride down very hard up there.
But we can cycle through the border.
Not many other people interested yet but just starting to get organised ready for Oct.
Do you camp or B+B ?
We are open to all options still very early but it will be happening.
Please reply if interested in doing this or other rides in Cyprus.

Ps We have our own bikes but only £20 ISH to bring one from UK on plane.
I live here but my friend brings his on the plane.
