This is in my opinion the best solution for both sides and something that should have happened before Cyprus became independent. This is what happened with all the other states which were liberated from the Ottomans but not for Cyprus. Why?

When Cyprus was offered by the Brits to the German king of Greece in exchange for his Greek kingdom declaring war on Bulgaria he declined. After that, the Brits decided the island was of value to them and voila, divide and conquer at its best.

yes, divide and conquer and all that malarki. So, the TC's should have been safe and sound in Turkey and the GC's safe and sound in Cyprus/Greece but instead the TC;s were used to rob the GC;s of their freedom of assembly and expression and then a third of their country.
I thought Britain offered to cede Cyprus to Greece if she entered the second world war on the side of the allies. Which Greece did.

Greece declined to enter the war when the offer was made, they joined later for free when the Italians attacked.

I still think the one I proposed is the best and will rectify many of the past's mistakes at the same time. Cyprus is an independent Greek province for Cypriots and the solution is to remove the occupiers and those who support it from the north of Cyprus.
This is the point.

"Independent greek province" is an oxymoron.
Which is it? Independent or greek province?
