Waiting for 39 years and you were looking in the wrong direction!

The GCs control the Republic of Cyprus, it's national resources, its sovereignty and international legal recognition and they haven't had to fire a single shot!

Looks like you missed all the action, Lordo....

Turkey occupies 37 per cent of the island. True. But there's no recognition of Turkey's claim to the north and Turkey needs to keep a permanent garrison and pump billions to keep the occupied areas afloat. Meanwhile Turkey has to pay a price: diplomatically, economically and strategically from keeping the north under occupation. That's why Turkey wants to legitimise the occupation through a 'solution' preferably on its own terms. But the GCs aren't playing ball. They have no reason to.

Again do you realize that the current situation is prefered to what you have to offer or we would all move south tomorrow? you really need to wise up and understand that if you continue the same tired out politics the division will continue, 39 years have taught you nothing.

The TCs don't move south. They move abroad...

Turkish Cypriot daily Kibris newspaper (02.12.13) reports that Ahmet Karahasan member of the Municipality Council of Enfield, UK and chairman of the Enfield Turkish Cypriot association stated that as long as a solution in the Cyprus problem is not reached the migration of Turkish Cypriots will continue as well.

Karahasan also said that the number of Turkish Cypriots who immigrate to the UK has been increased in the last few years and that every year the number is more increased that previously.

He stated that those who immigrate are trade union members and students who say that "we cannot live there any more", referring to the breakaway regime. We also said that the main reason that makes these people to immigrate is the non-solution of the Cyprus problem and noted that while the non-solution continues, the immigration will continues as well.
