I've noticed a massive rise in its appearance in mainstream supermarkets since last year.

However, although there's plenty about, some of it has that god awful weird taste from it being messed with during process for The GB market. We've test ridden rather a lot of brand versions. The best one coming from our local Mediterranean supermarket, which imports the authentic variety. I say local, its 20 miles away!

Must confess to being very fond of GB Stilton cheese.

Try crumbling some into a CY salad instead of the bland by comparison feta cheese that is commonly used.

I would like to know why Halloumi is cheaper in Tesco's than it is in Alfamega!

Erm, Tesco are using halloumi as a carrot by which to lure you into their stores?

Well if they are, it worked for someone a week ago who fancied a late night trahana and went down picked up one of their own brand ones. Not at all bad even though it's 100% cow's milk.

They didn't do the well-known CY brands.
