That's fine when it comes to organizing the annual wine, olive or orange festival but communities have no part in politics in the 21st century… especially in Europe.

The BBF idea was foolishly proposed by Makarios in 1975/76 when Cyprus was still struggling with “communities” but that’s many decades in the past so we can never go back to such archaic nonsense.

archaic is the notion that Cypriots are "Greek", and that as a State it is "Greek" as well. to be accurate, it was the compromise that Makarios accepted because it allowed for Greeks to promote and sustain Greekness, as it allowed other communities, (or Constituents), to prosper as well. beside the cost of the bureaucracy, another layer of governance, what is wrong with defining our Freedom with one Country, and our Liberty by our involvement with the politics where we reside?

and what exactly has been done to suggest that the situation is better and bbf is no longer necessary exactly. judging by the way you treat the tcs in the south you better get finger out and prepare your people.

We treat them so 'badly' they never ever return to the north!!!! Their situation is so miserable they choose to remain in the south and live as martyrs of Allah!!! Poor Tcs... it must be so hard for them in the south to choose to not move to the north.
