Its not hard to find if you wish to know all avenues when buying property......if of course you are of savvy nature.

As for passport. Having been through the Lidra Street crossing, its a farce. They look at your official passport, issue a piece of paper with the TRNC heading, stamp it, and hand it you back with your passport. They DO NOT, and ARE NOT allowed to stamp anywhere in your own passport. You must not lose that piece of paper on your trip in the North. On the return, they do exactly the same process in reverse.
A classic case of getting what you pay for. People incapable of doing basic research should stay away from Cyprus or any foreign property buying, for that matter. Those who knew what they were doing and were stung have their just desserts.
