Hürriyet's Sedat Ergin wrote in his column that Bayraktar's resignation is the most controversial among the resignations of the three ministers. According to Ergin, Bayraktar is probably telling the truth when he said, “Most of the amendments on the construction plans, which were mentioned in the probe, were made on Erdoğan's order.” Referring to Taraf daily's Monday reports, Ergin says alleged phone recordings reveal that the Environment and Urban Planning Ministry granted “special permission” to a construction tycoon, allegedly Ali Ağaoğlu, to expand a construction zone on his land, on an order from the prime minister after the Municipal Council of İstanbul unanimously rejected Ağaoğlu's project.
