There is nothing wrong with being born and raised in the UK by displaced Cypriot parents.

If Cyprus is in your heart, it will always be your home.
Just because its not your fault you ended up being born elsewhere, doesn't make you any less a Cypriot.

Some have no struggle being a true Cypriot in a foreign land......its just a struggle to get back to where you belong. Trust me, there is nothing bigger and stronger than a heart's desire to live out your days in the country you are supposed to descend from.....

If you are born in Cyprus you are a Cypriot. Being Greek or Turkish for Cypriots is more of a state of mind than a fact. Keep living your Ottoman fantasy.

So those that were born on this island after 1974 are Cypriots?

The North of Cyprus is occupied by armies from the country called Turkey, ultimately claiming the land for the republic of Turkey. Everyone who was born in the Turkish occupied part of Cyprus after 1974 is considered Turkish. North Cypriot Turkish people with soolid proof to Cypriot ancestry can still claim Cypriot passports or choose to live in Cyprus after this mess is over.

Not if they are not eligible to obtain an RoC citizenship or have been permitted to stay on the island legally, otherwise they are Illegal Aliens.

So why do you even call yourself "Turkish Cypriot" if Cypriots does not exists?

If after 400 years of Cyprus heritage does not make you a Cypriot, then you never were one to begin with.

Oh, I forgot. You were born and raised in the UK, weren't you? Now I understand your struggle of being a Cypriot.

Exactly, so the people in the north under the current situation will continue to develop more towards their Turkish identity than "Cypriot" is this such a bad thing?...are Greek Cypriots ashamed of being Greek? you are the one claiming we are going to disappear when all we are really doing is evolving back to our roots which was as you recall Turkish to start with. The fact that circumstances did not allow the Cypriot people to develop is the fault of all those that contirbuted to the current situation, if this is not changed then the New Generation Turkish Cypriots will continue to grow in numbers as the years pass.

You are now contradicting yourself.

If you are not a Cypriot because it does not exists for you, that you are just Turkish, then there cannot be a so-called "new generation of Turkish Cypriots", can it?

No according to Kikapooo, he thinks because you were born somewhere else you are less of a Turkish Cypriot and have less rights...North Cyprus is and will always be in my heart, thats why I uprooted my family and moved from the UK back back to live here.

One can be a Cypriot even if they are born elsewhere because that's what they feel, but you, who were born elsewhere, do not feel being a Cypriot at all. It is you who is claiming not being a Cypriot and then you say you are a Turkish Cypriot , and then claim to be just Turkish. You are definitely one confused individual.

Make up your fcuking mind. :D

On the contrary its you that is confused because you seem to think you are a Greek Cypriot but claim to be a Turkish Cypriot, Pure Cypriotism never developed between Turkish and Greek Cypriots, we have always been either Greek or Turkish first therefore this Cypriot thing is not valid, its a myth. In its place both sides have developed differently the south sees itself as purely Greek Cypriots and the north with the influx of new generations of Turks as New Generation Turkish Cypriots for the pure fact that they were born on this island and are of Turkish decent. The boat has surely sailed a long time ago to develop the notion of American British and French race.....its once again obvious that we are not united on this front either, you want to use Cypriotism as a camaflouge to allowing Gcs to take control of the whole island and force us into minority status in our own country, this of course we will never allow.

So lets try again step by step.

ONLY a YES or a NO answer will do.

Are you a Turkish Cypriot?
