Brit protectorate?

Why?
So they can be subjugated to persecution for being a minority? Great Britain is a Muslim mecca, it would be suicide!
They'd be better off under the Cypriot empire.

But that's just it Cap we would be in control of our own destiny working alongside our brothers and sisters of the Chiokitian Dynasty keeping the trukish hoards at bay

BTW the Brit Protectorate thing goes back a long way Cap ...before you signed up I think :D

No worries mate.
I'm married to a Brit.
I have no qualms.

And yes for the most part I'm partial towards the British being in Cyprus. (there are the exceptions though)
At least their contributions -post war - have been more profound and significant than other large foreign 'minorities' I wont care to mention.

I say give the reigns of this pompous Peyia to someone like BigOz so that it falls in line with the rest of Cyprus through Ottoman encouragement!
