"For international friends: Today, the first feminist MP of northern Cyprus, Dogus Derya, decided to eschew the traditional oath in the parliament for an alternative written by herself, calling the original text patriarchal and masculine. While her speech got censored by many TV stations, various MP's also walked out in protest, yet messages of widespread support went viral on Facebook and Twitter. Here is the full text of Derya's speech:

“I swear on my dignity as a human being, to work to protect every individual living in the country of Cyprus from discrimination based on language, religion, race, birth place, class, age, physical ability, gender or sexual orientation; to make a concentrated effort to create a just and equal environment in which labor is not exploited, to strive to replace the culture of conflict and violence with values of peace and reconciliation, to remain committed to democracy, principles of social law state, and fundamental human rights and freedoms, and to never give up on the dream of establishing a federal Cyprus.”

...like i said, sexy.

...my guess is, they show the pictures of penguins against the rats (maybe it has to do with telekinesis); chances are, in Cyprus, they turned the station off to save on the electricity.

This is how the Anything But The Whole Truth Baycrap Propaganda Agency reports the matter...

...The oath taking session was given a break when CTP-BG deputy Doğuş Derya took to the podium to read out her own oath, criticizing the constitutional one for being male-oriented.

After the break she was called on to the podium again to swear in according to the constitutional oath...

Oh, someone give her a penis, maybe she'll shut the F up.

I'm surprised Erdo hasn't got her wearing a Burka, yet to follow I guess.

Who gives a F fig what she has to say, they are still all illegal.

The scandal, Lordo, is the fact that 'somebody' (gender just happened to make it more ironically funny) decided to stand up with their right to free speech. Made the rubbish regime look all the more silly, and blinkered in the modern world.

Here is the 'scandalous' speech in which a female 'MP' in the pseudo-parliament is shouted down for calling for equality, human rights and a federal Cyprus:
