 You are a complete idiot. Metaxas said OXI to the fascists and nazists in 1940.

1936-1939 was the most productive period in modern Greek history. Workers enjoyed for the first time many benefits, such as Sunday holiday, 8 hours max. work per day, support in the event of accidents at work, he organized the Social Insurance Institute and many more.

Now sod off, dog.

Hey, stud, are you equally surprised to find out that whilst Metaxas was saying "OXI" to the fascists, the Bank of England was stealing Czechoslovakia's gold to help FINANCE the Nazis and their dastardly deeds?

I saw that on the News last week....

Its all a bit sordid really, but then everything about politics and war is sordid.
I'm not sure you could call it stealing, but it sure wasn't exactly honest was it!

another gig anti brit racist lie.

The Gold was controlled by an organisation called the BIS, and the BIS Which was a Swiss based central bank of central bankers told the BoE to move it, as the BOE properly did. The BOfE was not in a position to disobey an instruction of the BIS.

The people who really need questioning are those who controlled the BIS and took instructions from elsewhere which they passed on to the BoE to transfer the gold from one account to another, and the purchasers, who presumably gave some sort of value in exchange for the gold, which seems to have reached the Nazis by anther route.
