If you are referring to the British National Party they are a disgrace to our country, they are laughed at by the people of our country and ridiculed for their out of date and disgusting beliefs. They use 'fear of country and culture' as an excuse to peddle their racist beliefs when immigrants are not destroying our culture or our country. The British people cannot stand the British National Party. They are a laughing stock.

"Xenos" had a different meaning in ancient Greece. It meant guest. Foreigners (non Hellenes) were called barbarians.

Now piss off.

Forgive me, I expressed myself badly. But my point remains valid.

I don't understand you Kurupetos.

The BNP are in competition with other English Nationalist groups, the Conservatives, UKIP, NF, EDL, English Democrats, Campaign for an English Parliament, England First Party, English People's Liberation Army etc etc etc. Too many Nationalist groups - forming a huge nationalist support network. Very popular among middle Englanders.

A MORI opinion poll in 2006 commissioned by the Campaign for an English Parliament indicated that support for the creation of an English Parliament with the same powers as the existing Scottish Parliament had risen, with 41% of those questioned favouring such a move.[57]

In the same month an ICM Omnibus poll commissioned by the Progressive Partnership (a Scottish research organisation) showed that support for full English Independence had reached 31% of those questioned.[58]

In November 2006, another ICM poll, commissioned by the Sunday Telegraph, showed that support for an English Parliament had reached 68% and support for full English Independence had reached 48% of those questioned.[59]

A study conducted for the Commission for Racial Equality (CRE) in 2005 found that, in England, the majority of ethnic minority participants identified primarily as British, whereas white English participants identified as English first and British second.

Zarlak wrote:No that's not racist at all, but this is the first time you mention 'illegal immigrants.'

Your first post just says immigrants. People who want to live in your country. Like myself, I am English and I am moving to Cyprus in October because I wish to live there. That makes me an immigrant, yet people associate 'immigrant' with 'illegal immigrant' when they are not the same thing.

So your original post basically, says you don't anybody who isn't a Cypriot in your country as if you think that this preserves your people and culture. Which is racist, as letting people in does not destroy your culture or your people. People who are actually racist, who dislike foreigners usually use this as an excuse to hide their racism.

However, from your explanations, you're now making clear what you mean which isn't what was originally posted. But this is why people call you and others like this racist, because you don't make clear you're discussing illegal immigrants which is a subject for most countries. It originally comes off like you want to close the doors to anybody none Cypriot because you believe that they destroy your culture. This is racist, but it looks like this isn't what you actually mean. But people will assume that you are ignorant or racist if you don't clarify properly what you actually mean, which is actually an issue with certain illegal immigrants, and not all because some of them work hard and fair and contribute to your country, but SOME illegal immigrants that are doing things that they shouldn't be doing.

Welcome to CF Zarlak, and we look forward to welcoming you to your new home in Cyprus! :D

Kimon was referring to the opposing political forces of the neo fascist Golden Dawn Party which seems to promote racism, hatred, violence against defenceless immigrants whether legal or illegal in the name of preserving Greek Heritage and Culture. They have in effect called a spade a spade because Golden dawn is racist and so are most of their supporters like kimon.

You would think they all know something. Furthermore, there is nothing Greek about these people, and it is these very hate filled values that are bringing Greece down into international ill repute. One day, the real Greeks will destroy this fundamentalist organization of terror, hate and racism and reclaim the country in order to preserve the Greek Culture of love, respect and dignity. Greece is at war because we have bogans such as a few here on this forum that have the audacity to call themselves Greek.

Then, coming to Cyprus you will not be an immigrant, legal or illegal. You are entitled to as an EU citizen. And welcome too.

He is an immigrant all right since UK and Cyprus are separate countries. EU is just a common market trade block.

The same agreements exist between other countries like Australia and UK, Australia and Canada etc etc. But you're still an immigrant and it takes 5 years minimum to get citizenship.

But 2 issues which seem to highlight a lot.

Many British immigrants are not interested that much to learn Cypriot culture and hence stick together in "ghettos" like Peyia and so forth. Some others can't get enough of Cypriot Culture.

Don't see many Paphites knocking on their doors in Peyia or anywhere else to welcome them to the neighborhood, and bring some sweets and sit down to have coffee with them.

In fact many Paphites don't like them (racist). But it was ok when they got Pappou's Horafi, cut it up and sold the plots to the Brits for a premium. Yes nothing wrong with that. It puts a nice Mercedes in the garage as well.

Means absolutely nothing. Still immigrants.

just because an Australian Citizen can get permanent residency in UK, US or Canada it does not mean you are a British, Canadian or American National.
