After 6 years of fighting the Japs, Australia and America had enough and were looking for a speedy end.
That’s the beauty of the Geneva Conventions Paphitis! You can no longer go for the easy way out of mass murdering civilians who are irrelevant to a fight and you MUST confront the enemy or surrender your self!
Which means that the tenacity of the Japanese military in WWII might have won them the war had it been fought fair and square!
