How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

A few days passed and when the wheather got better the hunter decided to leave. As he packed up his things, the bear turned to him and said-Pick up your hatchet and hit me hard on the back!!! The hunter was shocked and thought the bear was joking.-Hit me hard or else i ll eat you,the bear threatened. Not having any choice, the hunter hit the bear on the back leaving a great big wound.-Now please go, the bear said in agony..
After a few years, the hunter was in the same area of the forest when suddenly the bear appeared in front of him.He was petrified thinking that the bear would take his own back. But the bear just stood in front of him and said-Remember the wound on my back?? Now look at it,it is completely healed. But what you said to me about me stinking, still hurts me like a huge wound in my heart....The hunter turned away in shame and left without a word...

We may have hurt each other in the past.We may still do.But the worse thing we can do is say words of hatred against each other.Whatever our differences are, atleast during this very wintery phase of our history, lets talk over in a civilised manner.Otherwise the bears of this world will not show the same mercy..

Alexios, I think I have read your story at least 3 times already :-)
It is a nice one though.

I did remember that thread when you mentioned it.
Varosia is what we call Marash, isn't it? That ghost town near Famagusta used only by Turkish Army officers? If Rafaella is from there originally,I can understand her anger. My village too was destroyed largely by neglect,I presume. It is not a nice feeling.

Bir..I inquired a little more about istinkio...what i heard makes me less enthusiastic to visit it now...sounds like a ghost village in ruins..trees have been cut down etc...i can only hope that one day its inhabitants will return and rebuild it to its original glory...

It all started as a joke with Rafaella,Nicko etc...As you may have understood, Rafaella is originally from Varosia, and quite a strong character...There is actually a saying in Cyprus that goes...never buy a Ford car or marry a woman from Morfu...Bearing in mind Rafaella i changed it into Never buy a Ford Car or marry a woman from Varosia...and later to my current logo..meaning that instead of exchanging your camels for a woman from Varoshia, the only way to actually be on the winning side would be to get the woman as well as some camels from her father..:))))

 What? What? So....you knew the correct phrase all along Mr!!! Woman from Morfu Not Varosi. I cannot believe how you cheated me! You promised to change your logo and I'm still waiting :?

Bth, my father doesn't have camels....

Which flag represents TCs then? This one?

TCs are a community. Communities usually don't have flags so I don't think there is a TC community flag representing all TCs. Beyond that each TC can choose what represents him.

If he is a partitionist then he will choose the racist flag of "TRNC" that represents the illegal state of "TRNC" which includes a large number of Turkish setllers and not just TCs.

If he is a person that doesn't accept the racist ethnic cleansing that was performed against Greek Cypriots then he would definetely not choose the racist "TRNC" flag as the one to identify with.

when you call TCs as a community then you denied TCs as part of your administration at all. that means, what your mind says,is that TCs are put in the position of minority. If you want to see some racists then look at your history. maybe some taking a trip in a bloody history realized by your ancestors teach you how kind thing the racism is and I can also give you some names like Grivas, jyorgadjis, nikos samson and lots of their supporters that launched bloody racist attacks on TCs. so tell me the racist side. and also your behaviour can be named as racist when you did not give a chance TCs to be a part of an administration and see TCs as minority calling TCs as community.

blah blah blah my name is faruk and I only see things from one perspective and regurgitate the same old bullsh!t blah blah blah.

Go and ask yourself how racist Dr Kucuk was in creating a political party in the mid 50's called 'Cyprus is Turkish' and what his ambitions were.

Yes,Alexios,that is my information too.
The place is now used as grasing land for animals, and they have built or rebuilt some structures to house the sheperds and their sheep and goats.
I do not think it will ever be rebuilt because not many of the original inhabitants are alive now.
Wait till I come for a visit and we can go together.I will need a shoulder to cry on most probably
