Interesting ....erm .... symptoms.
I think Queen Elizabeth and Constantine are separate issues and I am far from a Royalist myself. They are inter related, as are all other European Monarchs.
I looked into the Greek Royals after admittedly not knowing enough about the history and why they were deposed. Found some interesting videos which gave me a nice insight.
Bottom line is that I came to conclusion that Constantine has good values from the old school which are sadly becoming more rare in this day and age. Despite all the things that have happened, he really loves Greece, feels Greek and works for Greece for little recognition. I find that quite sad.
He also attempted a Counter Coup with Military Units from the Navy and Air Force which sadly failed. He had to flee into exile because his safety and the safety of his family would no doubt be marginalized. Very honorable actions to restore some Constitutional Order and help the Greek People free themselves from the fascist terror. No doubt, if he was successful, things may have been different for Cyprus.
I also ponder what might be if the Monarch in Greece was retained. Would Greece be better off? Well, in my opinion, things can't get any worse than today.
I will remove these 2 posts into the correct thread so that we can remain on topic!
