Am I now blacklisted? Really is my name being given out as a sympathiser and my sliver of a chance of getting a teaching position gone out of the window.

We're pulling your leg...

...As long as you contain yourselves to the Free Areas of the Republic.

Good luck with your change of life-style.

Julie he's winding you up.
He does that to everybody.
As for working in the illegally occupied north, yes, it is a sensitive issue for the bulk of Cypriots who were made refugees, lost their homes and loved ones during the invasion.

This time of year is particularly sensitive as it is about this time that the invasion happened, back in 74. Probably 20% or more of the population suffered ethnic cleansing and were displaced in the invasion. The Greek speaking Cypriots are denied their homes where as the legitimate Turkish speaking Cypriots (as opposed to post 1974 -illegal Anatolian immigrant squatters) are able to freely live in the ROC and , with certain limited exceptions , recover their homes.

Sad situation, did not realise how raw it was.

I will stick to questions on job and living conditions from now on.

Moines pulling your leg,ma'am , when you arrive in the free areas of Cyprus, BillC will put you on a merry go round until you throw up and GR in his clown suit(the one he usually wears) will chase your husband around, yelling and reciting the chirokkitian alphabet

You are correct in thinking that. This is probably what confuses people as it's so irrational to believe that a European country is currently occupied by a Muslim-Asian country. The whole of Cyprus is in the EU but the northern part is still illegally occupied by Turkey.

You've provided a useful insight that should shame the EU.

Don't worry, CBBB is British like you. Although he has recently acquired the Cypriot citizenship, he will have to pay the pushdoenglezos tax forever.
