Don't worry, I never liked MurkyErkel either, and I most certainly can't stand Saurkraut ;)
Its merely a family joke, Greek, British German..Royal family.

I'm British, with a German grandmother. Who incidently, lost her family home to Russian invading in WW2. Her and her family hid in woods under the horse cart as airplanes openly fired at them!

Theres not a lot of folk I'm keen on, British, Russians, Turks......Germans(my own are an exception)

I'm quite happy to pick holes in the lot of em!

Anyway, this ere rule book......

you sound like you will fit in fine.

BTW my mother in law had to walk for three weeks living mostly on grass after loosing her home to invading Germans and one of her brothers died in a German POW camp.

Under no circumstances can newbies start thread topics on:

- the merits of oven chips over home-made chips.
- acceptability of taking a cushion to a restaurant.
- landscape gardening.
- new Lidl stores springing up.

Please also follow the golden rule of counting to 10 before you report a post. Better still, check with the CF Presidentess first. :D

The young of today only believe Disney films based 'on true stories'. History couldn't possibly be true unless Hollywood has taken over and glamorised it.
I'm lucky I have an old lady of 85 to tell me these things.

Oh, and she and I live in Yorkshire....

Clarification on the spelling of a popular Cypriot word...is it "Billo" or is it "villo"?

In most cases on CF , the appropriate word would be villoui.
