Good to see there are stringent medical checks on Turkish pilots flying from the occupied areas:

Turkish pilot has epileptic seizure on plane

A pilot had an epileptic seizure on a plane before its planned departure from Nicosia to Istanbul, daily Hürriyet reported.

The incident took place on August 6 at the Nicosia Ercan Airport. According to eyewitnesses, a pilot fainted in the airport’s cafeteria at 6:05 p.m.

One hour later, while passengers were waiting for the plane to take off, the chief pilot made an announcement saying there was a technical fault causing the plane to be delayed. Some passengers said the chief pilot was the same pilot who fainted in the airport cafeteria.

After then the chief pilot left the cockpit and talked to the passengers. He claimed he was fine and he had no health problems. But he then had another epileptic seizure.

All the passengers were subsequently transferred to another plane to continue on to their destination of Istanbul.

People need to know that flying from the occupied areas is not only illegal but also unsafe. What if this Turkish pilot had a seizure during a flight?

The safest thing is to not fly from the illegal airport with a dodgy airline. Spread the news.

Yes... it is a dangerous situation when the Illegal FIR operated by Turkey and "trnc" interferes with instructions to pilots from the CY FIR.

The Fam Gaz reports today there are moves to normalise the situation... which will no doubt fail cos of the intransigence of "trnc", which has an aim of two FIRs on a small island...

For the record....
Turkish Airlines has the worst (safety) record in Europe. Airsafe.com lists fatal accidents by million flights since 1970 and, while many have none and other well-known names register, say, 0.17, Turkish hits 3.58 with nine crashes.

Even as recently as 2012, Turkish airlines is the seventh most dangerous airline in the world:

The message is clear: Turkish Airlines' service is as shoddy and dangerous as ever.

Looks like you are having problems swallowing that Turkish Airlines has been voted the best airlines in European 3 years in a row.

Apart from being one of the most dangerous airlines in the world Turkish Airlines is now a prime target for international terrorism:

Two Turkish pilots kidnapped in Beirut, Lebanon

Four gunmen kidnapped two Turkish Airlines pilots as they made their way Friday to a hotel in Beirut, Lebanon, Lebanese Interior Minister, Marwan Charbel said.

"A kidnapping operation took place at 3 a.m. targeting a bus carrying several members of a Turkish Airlines crew going from the airport to the hotel," Hurriyet Daily News quoted Charbel as saying. "Gunmen kidnapped two passengers from the bus, the pilot and co-pilot."
