But those little hoodlums start young.

he was also accused of burglary in the past, it was the reason Zimmer, as a neighberhood watch member, chased him.
It was also proven that he abused drugs in the past, as you can also tell from his twitter account.

After deliberating for more than 16 hours, a jury of six women on Saturday evening found George Zimmerman not guilty in the shooting death of Trayvon Martin, an unarmed 17-year-old in Sanford, Fla.
That night, Martin was walking back to the home of his father's fiancee from a local 7-Eleven convenience store after purchasing a can of iced tea and a bag of Skittles. He was spotted by Zimmerman, a neighborhood watch volunteer, who thought Martin looked suspicious because of what he described as an unnaturally slow and meandering gait. Zimmerman called the police and proceeded to follow the teen through the Retreat at Twin Lakes, the gated community where Zimmerman lived and where Martin had been staying. A confrontation ensued, Zimmerman shot Martin, Martin died, and six weeks later, Zimmerman was arrested and charged with second-degree murder.

I believe Zimmerman is innocent, as this mentions.
Medical evidence supports George Zimmerman’s claims that he was beaten and on the bottom of a scrum with Trayvon Martin when Zimmerman fatally shot the Miami Gardens teen, a forensic-pathology expert testified Tuesday.

What are your thoughts on this case? I haven't seen any posts about the Zimmerman case.

Pure self defense...

Actually he should of shot him earlier, Zimmerman put his life in danger

We weren't there so will never know, but I understand the evidence showed Zimmerman to be laying on the ground firing upwards. Who knows how you would react in the situation, its easy to pass judgements in the calm atmosphere of one's keyboard. Maybe they both contributed to this sad event.

There is talk of 'Black v White' backlash - but is not Zimmerman a mixed race Hispanic?

I understand there may be Civl Rights charges brought against Zimmerman.

zimmerman called the police and told them he was following him. They told him not to approach him. He told them he will. The rest is history. we only have his versionof events. this stinks of racism and the law that allows such action is wrong. this idea that you can kille somebody if you feel threatend especially in the public area is beyond belief.

I wasn't his job to approach or apprehend him. He should have watched, called the police and let them do their job. Vigilante springs to mind.

The very best definition of irony?

George Zimmerman is afraid to leave home, as he is worried someone might take the law into their own hands......

He will be at the very least sued for civil damages for what it's worth and he is very likely to lose the case since the bar for conviction are set much lower than it is for murder.

As for his innocence or guilt, he and the victim had their day in court and innocent has been rendered, in which we hope the case was tried fairly and that the jury gave their verdict based only on evidence they heard.

That's all we can ask for at this point, therefore, Zimmerman must be treated a innocent man, otherwise it's no point having a court system.

the police did not say to zimmerman to do not approach him, they told him that they don't need him to do that. zimmerman also replied "ok", he did not said that he will. where the hell did you get your information?

also
"One of the recipes for “lean” calls for using Arizona Iced Tea Co.watermelon fruit juice cocktail as the beverage of choice, and Skittles candy… the items found on Trayvon Martin’s body the night he was shot by George Zimmerman."

it is known in the past that trayvon has abused drugs
trayvon is definitely not innocent.

No, he's dead! Unlike lucky Zimmerman, Trayvon never had a chance to stand trial. Whatever happened to innocent till proven guilty? Is the teenager guilty for dying?
