OK I am not going to gloat at all.

All I can say is better luck to England in the next Test. :)

Hopefully they can give the Aussies a better run.

England 2 for 60 chasing 561 runs.

The Ashes are back on and after a bad start, the Aussie Tail wagged to bring some respectability to their innings of 8-273 at stumps! :D

Today, it will be up to the Australian Pace Bowlers and Siddle is looking pretty damn good.

Respectability ...!!! ... Ashes ain't won with face-saving "respectable" scores file.

You have not batted yet. Maybe the Gabba Wicket has some movement in it!

Face it Paphitis... your boys were strong in the build-up with all the hype and all the headlines but they're crumbling as soon as the pressure is applied.

Oh... and tell your fellow ex-convicts in the stands to stop booing Broad and calling him a banker ... it ain't cricket. ... and it makes him angry and you don't want to be making him angry.

What is your opinion of sledging?

Australian Captain got caught by the stumps microphone (should be turned off between deliveries) telling James Anderson (a renowned sledger), "to get ready for a broken f@#king arm".

Broad also copped a bit. Trott copped too much from Warner but really sad to see him withdraw from the Series.

I think it's part of the game myself. Certainly a lot of tension has been building up from the last 3 Ashes Series.

Yes ... the "broken arm" angle was reported in the GB press.

Deffo OTT, it's a threat to cause grievous injury.

I think banter in any sport is great and spices it up; threats of injury to professional sportsmen is another matter and should not be heard on any sports field..well except for rugby maybe!
The site of Indian opener (Dhawan) imitating Shane Watson after the latter had pulled a leg muscles, a few weeks back, brought shame upon him.

I agree with you 100% Lana.

There seems to be quite a bit more to the story. James Anderson the victim of the sledging is notorious for sledging the Aussies in past Series.

Shane Warne apparently Twittered that Anderson sledged the Aussie Silly Mid Leg who was on debut by telling him that he was "going to punch him".

That sparked Clarke's threat to Anderson "to prepare for a f@#king broken arm". Got pretty animated out there.

Unfortunately for Clarke, his comment was captured by the stumps microphone.

The next Test is going to be a ripper.

I feel that this "Sledging" is just part of the game as long as it is left on the field.

England to forget sledging truce!

Mitchell Johnson says England can forget about any sledging truce, claiming Australia’s opponents were shaken by the on-field barbs in the first Ashes Test.

"I think it's worked for us. I definitely think they're rattled by it," said the bowler in Perth on Wednesday. "They don't like it at all. Obviously their coach has come out and wanted a truce from what I've heard. That's not going to change from our end."

Oh and btw, the Poms have banned the Australian Media from getting anywhere near their Team.

They come to Australia and declare an Australian Media Blackout!

This is what all the fuss is about!

Real shame that England are starting to throw their dummy from the pram. For so long, the Aussies had to put up with their crap. No more! :D

ENGLAND became so rattled by Australia's short ball assault in Brisbane they quizzed match officials about the rules on dangerous bowling.
