Motto for Cyprus Government

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Motto for Cyprus Government

Postby ProudToBeGreek » Sun Nov 13, 2005 4:41 pm

RoC currently doesn't have a motto, here are a few ideas:

'A Cruce Salus' - From the Cross comes Salvation.

'Omnis spiritus laudet Dominum' - Let every spirit praise The Lord.

'Subverto caenum barbarous' - To destroy the Barbaric Filth.

I think your motto should be similar to the Bulgarian one:

"L'union fait la force" - "Съединението прави силата" - "Unity makes us strong"

ProudToBeGreek, your post is first of all unrelated to the Cyprus problem. Secondly if some people don't find it funny they might be offended by it. Then they will say something offensive back to you and so on and so forth. Is this your aim?

Orthodox Christianity and Sunni Islam should be the official religions of a unified Cyprus.

How about no official religions? Everybody believes whatever he/she wants. Why should one religion be "official"?
Do countries have official religions usually?
