Now, not all Greeks are intolerant towards Jews so it is important to avoid generalisations.

Sadly, I have noticed a disproportionate number of Greeks with prejudices against this group of people.

I remember going to a particular old Greek barber, and just about every single time he would say things like "the Jews are responsible for all the world's ills". I just sat there nodding my head thinking how bizarre! But I never argued with the old codger. Greeks are damn stubborn, and I couldn't be bothered dwelling in such negativity and also thought I must change barbers.

I hear things like that a lot coming from Greek people. Never would you hear such things from the more cultured Aussies!

But I am quite curious as we do see this type of mentality on this forum from the likes of Yialousa and Kurupetos who is working on his WMD project! :lol:

Why the hate against the Jewish People? Is there something historically significant between the 2 peoples which in my opinion is still no excuse?

Is it biblical? Does it come from our Religious Leaders? It seems that a lot of this intolerance stems from religious people as well, or so I have noticed.

Can someone please explain...

Maybe it is the people you associate with. The majority of Greeks doesn't care in any way about the Jews. There is a lot more intolerance towards Jews elsewhere... like those who are responsible for the haulucast. The intolerance towards Jews was created in places that have large jewish minorities ... in Greece such intolerance could only be imported because I don't think the Greeks and the Jews had much contact.

I am always very selective of who I associate with and I did say that the vast majority do not hold these views.

However, there does seem to be a higher incidence of Jewish Intolerance, and on this forum is it especially high among those that claim to be Greek.

hence my question as to why.

maybe you should read Yialousa's post to see that sickness so prevalent among us.

Does anyone have anything valid to say why Jews should be demonised?

I know he is Jewish and I don't have an issue with that but it seems you do!

BTW, those sources you provide are not authentic or real. they were written by a Roman and are biased but it seems you do not want to mention the brutal siege of Jerusalem by the Romans where thousands of Jews perished of starvation. Why is that? :wink:

And why so much biased support for the Roman Empire against the indigenous populations of the region such as the Jews?
