Are you referring to flat screen or Smart/

Smart

recent purchased a 46" samsung smart TV was 990E

Thanks Sotos, will look into this.
B25, where from the 46" Smart ? What model ?

Milti, will reply later when I get in and dig out the model number for you.

Thank you B25.
I have carried out a lot of research but cant find anything for 46".
It must be Samsung so that I can use my Galaxy mobile as a remote etc.

miltiades wrote:On average I watch less than 2 hours of TV a week, I hate soaps, don't get on with films, hate commercials and such rubbish like game shows etc. My viewing is limited to News, some nature programmes- have seen them all- and Al Jazeera which has a wide coverage of international and regional news.

My current TV is rather old, well more than 25 years in fact, my son who is very much into TVs laughs at me and my old set, which incidentally gave to us when he switched to a new set some years back.

Most of my evenings I spent listening to Greek music on my PC, watching and listening to music shows such as Stin Iyian mas
and other shows I discover on YouTube.

As I intend to semi retire in Cyprus I thought is time to get a new set, and I have been advised by my son and of course my young ...floozy to go for a Smart 40" Samsung.
I know nothing about TVs especially the Smart LED type, but I have decided on a set that I will buy next week when in Limassol.

My young lady has a 12 almost 13 year old daughter and her first cousin a 13 year old boy will also be joining them, so to provide them with entertainment I decided on a Samsung UE40F6500 LED SMART, the current price in Limassol is 999 euros less 50euros having joined on line with the sellers, Stephanis.

Any experts on TVs ? Does any one want my old set for FREE ?

Stubborn ol' Milti.

Make yourself a favour and buy the newer model from Amazon.uk...

Thanks Kourouk!!
Its a little cheaper buying in the UK but not wanting the hassle I shall buy one in Limassol.

Two days to go before I catch my flight to Paphos airport, I cant wait to meet ....summer !
The UK weather is lousy, supposed to be ...flaming bloody June, in fact Siberia is having better weather than London.

In fact, Yakoutsk, the coldest inhabited city in the world is 20c right now, London a mere 13c and Limassol 25c :D :D

No, it's a newer model you will find in Cypriot shops in the end of 2014.

Milti you will probably find flyers from some of the electrical stores trying to sell you tv's. Try electroline, electronica, skandia, hadjikyriakos, public, Stephanis, mega electric to name but some who have stores in Limassol. Lots of offers.

Thanks K, also STUD !
I think I have now decided on the Samsung mentioned earlier from Stephanis.

It has all that I need, 400Hz, not that I care much just as long as I have WI- Bluetuth etc.
Thanks for all the info.

If it’s on special (dirt cheap even) just make sure it’s got MPEG-4 support.
