At least that’s what a wise 67 year old would do.

 Does not apply to our Milti.

They charge ridiculous amounts of money here to service, tax, and insure such vehicles so unless you’ve got a healthy income coming in you should reconsider.

Parking spots are also a nightmare in Cyprus and the streets very narrow. Potholes are also aplenty from the partially completed main sewerage project which may never be completed with all the new financial priorities they now have.

As for driving safety, in Cyprus you need to claim and dominate your right of way or other drivers quickly sense your fear/hesitation and just keep jumping in front of you and treating you like a learner who has no rights.

Anyway, good luck with whatever you choose.

I calculate for the 2.5 l v 6 it will Euro 3500 or so: the basic duty is about 13 grand, there is possibly a 10% uplift for CO2, then an 80% discount as the car is about 10 years old. No extra discount for mileage as they expect you to have driven about 90000 miles /150000 Km miles over about ten years.

I suspect you will have to pay another 1000 or so to ship it, get it tested, etc once it arrives.

A ten year old X type here is 5 to 7 grand....

Wouldn't it it better to buy and ship over a small to medium sized 4x4 ... ???

Much better suited to most CY driving and parking...???
