Turkey makes case to IOC members for 2020 Olympics

I sincerely hope that Turkey Does NOT Win this as there actions against Northern Cyprus in Accepting the Greek Cypriot South as the Republic of Cyprus, and rejecting the TRNC based, Turkish Cypriot participation, in the Recent "MED Games" in Mersin had seriously disappointed my people. We have always respected Turkey and backed it at every stage regardless, but it's recent rejection of our status in the MED Games, it's lack of support or for not Rejecting the Greek Cypriot ROC's participants has proven to my people that Turkey truly has an issue with its Official relation with the TRNC, and actually Recognises the Greek Cypriot (ROC - Republic of Cyprus) as its legitamate Government. The Turkish Cypriots in Both the TRNC and in the UK were shocked. To this end, I would rather see Turkey not win this that to see the Greek Cypriots once again laugh in the face of the Turkish Cypriots, as they have been doing over the last month. If the tables were turned and the Greek Cypriot held the MED GAMES, would they have rejected their Greek Cypriot KIN regardless of the Political Scenario or Pressure from any Olympic or FIFA Officials or would they have stood by their Greek Cypriot Brothers and sisters. I am afraid that Turkey has broken our hearts in Northern Cyprus. We are isolated already without now having been rejected by our Turkish brother in Turkiye. I love Turkey, I worship all that Turkey has done in the past, and still does now, but just do not understand why Turkey just does not Annex Northern Cyprus seeing that it can not get our TRNC recognised politically by the UN or Allow us to take part in the MED Games; for instance. Cry baby, cry. Did you not hear about the TC cyclist that was also embargoed when he won, yet they pronounced a Turk second place winner.

Maybe now you realise the the TCs mean shut to Turkey. Do as you are told. Even Erdo himself called you parasites, I wonder why?

What amazes me the most about this guy is, that he claims to be a lecturer at a University and that he is more concerned that Turkey actually may have recognised the the RoC during these games, but he has no issues what so ever that the whole world recognises the RoC. He lives in his little fantasy world by the sound of it. I would hate for this guy to be my lecturer, someone who doesn't really have his soles firmly on the ground, but rather he lives in the Cuckoo land.

Well seeing as even Turkey is obliged to boycott the 'trnc' the obvious solution is for TC athletes to compete under the flag of the recognised and legitimate Republic of Cyprus. Perhaps Mustafa should campaign for a united island. This should help him overcome his feelings of 'rejection' at the hands of his Turkish overlords who have so badly let him down.

Well, for these Two Peoples Two Countries, Turk to Turk supporters of the Illegal Regime of "trnc" ... and even though they could compete under the flag of the Republic, the preferred option is the one that's been practised by them for the past near 60 years... to choose to isolate themselves and then moan like buggery about the isolation...

He worships Turkey and would rather Turkey annexed "northern Cyprus". Under such circumstances the only alternative would be to compete for the Republic of Turkey.

Well Cyprus did quite well.

It must have been difficult for the athletes to compete in Turkey.

I think this entire exercise was a massive political victory for the RoC!
