Long!

Up at 4am. Painted a room. :D

Will finish with a takeaway and some chilled wine ...

How was your day? :)

I have had a wineoftheday, still on the red, UNCHILLED, not chilled as many Cypriot wine....connoisseurs serve it, straight out of the fridge,....red wine????

I bet you like like chilled Chateau Stroumbokrasi !

Unlike you, Miltiades, wine is not the mainstay of my day! :D

But, I do reward myself after a particularly demanding day (like today), with some wine - and not being a connoisseur, like yourself, I am happy with the cardboard cartons, with the picture of white grapes or red grapes, which I can pick up at the Polis Papantoniou's for a few euros, and pack in suitcases rather nicely ... :D

Another unsuccessful day. Still cannot solve the race identification tool for my intelligent WMD project.

Insert a shovel right around it and deep enough to cut off all roots, and then drench it with petrol.

Not the best couple of days for us....

Found out yesterday that a close friend died suddenly of a heart attack while watching TV and this afternoon we were at his funeral.

It was our first Cypriot (in fact our first) funeral since moving to Cyprus more than 9 years ago and at the moment we still cannot decide if we prefer funerals the way we're used to in UK or that they're done quickly and everyone feels they should go. We didn't queue to say our goodbye's to our friend in his coffin in the church but preferred to remember him as we last saw him, in fine fettle and good spirits.

Hopefully, the next few days will see some improvements but it's very hard to think we won't be able just pop along to his shop round the corner any more for a coffee and a natter with him and his friends.
