Britain's positive role during the 1974 Coup/Invasion

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

is a mindset change and understand and accept the mistakes we made which unfortunately contributed to the mess.

mindset change into what?...When most of us still think and act as if its September 1974, just after the war and not one iota of change has happened in 40 years...Where we still think that the moral perception of world opinion is still on our side, where most of the world doesnt give a flying fu#@k...about Cyprus or the occupation..Where most of our newer generation sees the occupied areas as something foreign and distant.... and on and on and on...how do you change from that mindset...And with all due respect I see it on these forums everyday...kind of test out my fellow Cypriots to see their reaction and they keep acting as I expect  ...lol

Yes Ocean, this is a big problem.

We still talk about the Amerikani and Englezi but in reality we are behaving like dorks!

We need to take our rightful place as a Western Country friendly to US and UK. In fact we need to make it our mission to engage them and bring them into the fray for the sake of future generations. We need their help basically.

Cue for Cypriots to call me a traitor!

None of the points have been answered,Paphitis, no one has a clue.. Has anyone even bothered to think about the distance we created between the free areas and the occupied areas of Cyprus ..How many times a week does a Cypriot think about
the specific areas of occupied Cyprus, compared to the free areas.. My guess would be 10,000 to 1...I think it's a significant problem....
