Short and different from greek music ( i don`t know any greek song yet, but ill know as soon as i can ) )I tried to attach here something recorded but it doesnt work...too large. Why an ex musician? Gave up music in early 1973 after the birth in late 1972 of my first born.
It was a hard choice but I made the right decision in being by my wife during the early days of her being a mother.

I used to work 6 days a week, finishing in the early hours of the morning and then of with the rest of the guys for a drink.

My marriage benefited greatly by being able to spend my evenings at home, it lasted more than 40 years until my wife's death.

Now, I play for my self but not that often, fingers are no longer well practiced and have become inflexible.
I made sure yesterday that when loading a container destined for Cyprus, to include my original guitars, A Hoffner -very thin- electric, and my favourite acoustic an Ariel, both more than 40 years old.

As I have gotten older my preferences are almost exclusively Greek music, but I do love older music, my favourite all time song by Dinah Washington, " This bitter Earth."
Nina Simonne, Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holiday, July London and Aretha Francklin amongst my all time favourite artists / vocalists.

I hope your stay in Cyprus is most enjoyable, mine always is
The weather should be in mid 30s so it will be hot.

No, my parents have never been in Cyprus I have my best friend and my boyfriend there
