Public transport

Postby lyche » Mon Jun 10, 2013 2:29 pm

I can not believe that no one has all these years set the condition to resolve the Cyprus public transport. It's terrible how the city's bus drivers and interurban lines behave. If there is a timetable and why he does not respect, rather than someone who maybe does not have a money or not to afford driving Taxi has to walk miles or to give the last money for Taxi. Not to mention the lack of culture of men aged 15 to 80 years of age as vulgar when they see anything women to walk down the street. It's not so much the tourist areas but in Nicosia is horrible. Such a lack of culture, anywhere in Europe, I have not seen. It is sad that all these people are already experiencing such a crisis happen that will start to use public transport and pedestrians go which is not stupid and embarrassing. Only the one who made the timetable seems never rode the bus and I do not know how the lines should go, and not, for example line in Nicosia that goes with Solomon to the General Hospital at the same time moving 160 and 158 and the next hour you haven`t bus.Huge nonsense.

Locals don’t generally use buses but here’s a site you might find useful…

I find that many people’s inability to properly use the Internet for information is becoming an ever increasing hindrance in their lives.

I can't say much about Nicosia, but I use the local buses here in Limassol on average probably three times a week, and I would give them very high marks for running punctually, actually. Since the new bus system came into operation 3-4 years ago, there are far more buses on more routes now, as well, so it is much more easier to get about by bus than it used to be.
