Even in Apartheid South Africa, we were considered 'European' under Hendrik Verwoerd's government and after. (although grudgingly and not immediately).

An observation relating to ALL Cypriot drivers.
Why is it that when you stop at the red lights, you move over the STOP line, many meters in fact over the line, in effect going passed the Stop line. Anxious to get away just as soon as the lights change, oblivious to the reality that another Cypriot from the opposite direction Will go through red lights and cause an stupd accident.

I witnessed at least 2 such utterly stupid accidents and guess what, each stupid driver blaming the other.

Entering JUMBO recently in Limassol, a stupid driver who could not bother to exit via the Exit route almost crashed my car entering via the entry route.I called him a Plonker, in fact preceded by a colloquial expletive, F..ing Plonker!
He thought I was English and hurled abuse after abuse until I got out of my car and spoke to him in my Stroumbi the Great dialectic fashion shutting the plonker up !!

Because we don't have working traffic cameras, when we did for a short while, most people were very careful at traffic lights where they were located.!
