It's always good asking others what they know despite what the teachers told you about not being paid.

Due diligence and investigation.

Teachers ARE NOT PAID. Full bloody stop.
The schools teachers are perhaps the best on the island. The management is crap, even crap is too generous.
Close the bloody school down or get rid of the Mafia style management. Government, Education Dept, wake up you Plonkers, do something about the despicable way this school is administered, or are you scared ????
There is no other educational establishment in Cyprus or else where where the teachers ARE NOT paid,.Where do the fees collected go ? I know but I'm not telling!
Wake up Education dept, and other government bodies who pay lip service out of fear!
A banana republic as Bananiot used to say, he was bloody right.

You are absolutely right Miltiades and I'm Miltiades.
Cheques issued to teachers bounce like a rubber ball, what other Educational establishment but a thoroughly mis -managed one would sink so low as to have cheques bouncing.
I have said too much for my own good, but I do care about Cyprus and the its reputation.
Our economy has collapsed, we have been taken to the cleaners by corrupt bankers, financiers and greedy business people. Enough is enough, they do not own Cyprus, many of us fought for our independence and wish not see our island run by a bunch of greedy crooks.Any reason why I, and thousands like me, should have their hard earned money stolen by these crooks. Its not Troika, its not the USA its not the EU, IT IS THE GREEDY PLONKERS WHO STOLE MY MONEY.
Wait till I get to live in Cyprus.

Sounds like they have cash-flow problems like the rest of the country. If they're anything like the independent schools in the UK, they're probably having trouble extracting the fees from the parents at such times.

Good luck to the school and the economy as a whole.

There is a lot more to this than just a Cash Flow issue Oracle!

Also, the elitist schools in HK and Astralia don't have these problems. They are rolling in money as they charge 20,000 Euros per year. Things are no different in the UK I am pretty sure.

But as I said, there is more to this. I know, but you are going to have to find out for yourself!

O, you really don't know.
It is not a question of cash flow but a more of a cash...go!!
In it comes, into the pockets it goes, nothing left for the poor teachers.
The fault is entirely with the EDUCATION Dept and the Government, how on earth do they allow an educational establishment to continue when its teachers DO NOT get paid.
A banana republic indeed.!!!

Miltiades, I'm not involved in any way with this school to be interested in your grievance with them, but a few years back, when I made inquires, everything was hunky-dory. If things have gotten bad recently, financially, perhaps it's because of the crisis. You say not. So why didn't you bring it up sooner if it has gone on for a long while?

More than anything, why bring it up here when there are no school representatives to give their side of it? That in fact is what I hate the most - using the forum to spout one-sided views.

Nothing whatsoever to do with the crisis.
As I stated earlier O, you know nothing, I do.
