All EU chapters are now effectively frozen. We are talking about whether to allow Turkey to open one chapter, maybe, if it gets a good progress report, in October. No, Erdogans Turkey has not got the message, nothing will change and they are delighted with the news.

The situation in Turkey will likely get worse between now and then and Erdogan will be going Bazerk come October.

If they don’t get it now they never will. Turkey kept delaying hoping the EU will give in to their demands. But the EU has given them the barest minimum - short of complete suspension. They promised Turkey this one chapter this week - Turkey was hoping for even more. But this one chapter has been pushed back four months and depends on Turkey’s good behaviour. The EU has made Turkey responsible for its accession. But it has promised nothing beyond this one chapter - and even that has conditions attached.

You people still dont get it, Turkey is delighted even more delay and no kicking out, she does and says what she wants and the EU havent got the balls to tell her to get lost, this speaks volumes for those who are intelligent and unbiased enough to understand.
