yes B25, thats the one. That was apparently a very tiring process doing by hand. My father invented one with a motor and sold his design for £2000 which would have been a huge amount of money back in 58. Those that may not believe my story can ask their elders, especially those in the building decorating business who I hope will name my father as the inventor of the electrical Sprit machine. My fathers initials are AR for the record.
Too late. It's out of fashion.
Just in case you're not aware, we were actually talking about 1958.
Priceless
Yes, you must forgive Kuru, he has been so busy on developing his WMD that he cannot keep up

It was just a silly thing I did to annoy one of the most TC haters on the forum known as Piratis, who in their right mind would believe that or even remember it? I now realise you take things far too seriously, how about taking things with a pinch of salt and chilling out a little my friend?
I wasn't actually referring to the above what so ever, because I never came across it before, but something much more than the above.
Just out of interest, which nick did you use for the above admission?
With the utmost respect Kik. I'm only on the forum when I get too hot by the pool and I come in to cool off. You obviously can dedicate more time to the forum so why not spend a couple of hours and find out for yourself. Seriously though, only yesterday I said you need to take things with a pinch of salt and calm down a bit. Today you want to interrogate me about some shit I said 4-5 year ago. get a life my friend.
No interrogation at all. I though we were just having a conversation, that's all.
But if you want to drop it, that's fine too. Maybe that's a good thing.
Go and enjoy your swim.

There has been no discussion on a possible return of the Turkish occupied fenced-off town of Famagusta to its legal inhabitants in exchange for allowing direct flights to and from the illegal Tymbou airport, in Cyprus’ northern Turkish occupied areas, Foreign Minister Ioannis Kasoulides has said.
This issue is not under discussion, he told CNA in an interview, adding that the Greek Cypriot side has never raised such an issue.
“Right now what we have is our proposal on this issue, which we believe will help the talks significantly if Famagusta is returned to its legal citizens. Once other issues come up we will look into them, he added.
The Foreign Minister said that talks on the Cyprus problem will not resume from the beginning, adding that it will be made clear that the Greek Cypriot side is not bound by positions which President Nicos Anastasiades has already said he does not subscribe to them, on the basis of the principle that nothing is agreed until everything is agreed.

Does that lead us to think that someone has leaked it to test the water...???
In any event, the ever-intrasigent Illegal Regime have rejected any such proposal.

It's a no brainer B25. The land they're building on, the hotels, houses they are profiteering from belongs to somebody who has worked all his life to build. They are just innocent victims of circumstances.
Some will say they lost it in war, others will say they deserve what they get for the injustices suffered by TC's. In my opinion nothing can justify taking something off someone that has worked all his/her life to build. It is totally against common human decency.
But dont you feel that these people from both sides should be asking for answers from those that placed them in that position? like the "RoC" administration? and why they are not pushing for their rights back? instead of bankrupting the south.
Yes VP, in an ideal world this is what both sides would want and a resolution would have been achieved long long time ago. I'm now 60 and my dads 83, we discuss the Cyprus issue on many occasions. He tells me many stories of his young working days with GC's and for GC's.
He started his working life working as a decorator, he on many occasions would go and work on wealthy GC's property and they would be delighted with his work, they would thank him and pay him or his boss but they would also point out he is not Greek and he would be much better off in Turkey and he should leave Cyprus and settle there. This happened on hundreds of occasions and even though he got on well with his GC work colleagues and bosses he always felt he was an outsider.
My father was passionate about electronics and was a very intelligent and determined man. There was a thing they used to do on Cyprus houses in the 50s up to the 80s, we called it ISPIRIT, I think I got it right. This thing involved a bucket like contraption with a rotating handle and the user would manually turn the handle with speed and a mixture loosely mixed cement and stone chippings would be sprayed and stick on the wall for some effect that the Cypriots liked.
My dad invented an electric version of that machine and sold ti to one of building firms back in 58 or £2000. This set may dad up and he opened an electronics shop opposite Evkaf building in Nicosia and he never looked back. Most old generation GC's know my dad very well. My dad always say, "son, they don't like us or want us here and we will never live in peace or harmony. And he also always says, roughly translated, A BAD LANDLORD WILL ALWAYS FORCE HIS TENANT TO BE A HOMEOWNER HIMSELF ONE DAY.
I could write a book with my dads stories but who would believe his stories, they are too sad and horrific to even think about.
Thank you for sharing that MR, we hear this all the time from the older generation TCs, the feelling today has not chnaged either you can read it on this forum the GCs are always telling us to go live in Turkey but what they dont want to understand is that we have just as much right to me here as they do, maybe the division is what we all deserve and is after all the best solution.
